Spiders Break Through Our Blind Spots

Avengers: Endgame has passed the $2 billion mark worldwide.

And the superhero excitement generated by the movie has rubbed off on another Marvel franchise.

The first full-length trailer for Spider-Man: Far from Home has been viewed 135.2 million times in the first 24 hours since its release on Monday and, according to Deadline.com and that makes it the biggest digital launch in the history of Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The record had been 130 million views and was held by the same film's teaser that dropped in January.

The trailer for 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming got 116 million views.

Spider-Man: Far from Home is the first Marvel superhero movie trailer to be released following Avengers: Endgame and at the beginning of the video, Holland warns fans that it contains spoilers for the blockbuster film.

The trailer shows Holland's Peter Parker mourning the loss of Tony Stark AKA Iron Man.

The plot has Parker traveling to Europe where he's recruited for a mission by Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson. 

The movie, which opens in theatres on July 2, also stars Zendaya, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jon Favreau, Cobie Smulders, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon and Michael Keaton.
